Shoosmiths are sponsoring national spinal injury charity Back Up’s “Heels for Wheels” campaign which will take place over the next six weeks.
The Heels for Wheels website lists all of the celebrities involved and the story behind their footwear as well as a ‘donate’ button. The campaign is the brainchild of Back Up patron, TV presenter Sophie Morgan, who suffered a spinal cord injury as a teenager in a road traffic accident that left her paralysed from the chest down.
Dozens of celebrities and leading lights from the worlds of fashion, sport and entertainment are donating their shoes which will be auctioned off on 01 April 2021.
Commenting on the firm’s involvement in the campaign, medical negligence partner Denise Stephens said:
“We’re incredibly proud of our relationship with Back Up and we know from experience just what a huge difference their help and support makes to people’s lives.”
All the bids and ongoing donations raised throughout this campaign will go towards Back Up’s work in delivering life changing programmes which support people affected by spinal cord injury to live confidently and independently.
